Cutoffs & Booties

A Summer Staple to own is a pair of booties! I've been on the lookout for a pair and was trying to decide between several styles that each had very similar features and price points. 

{Talk about a hard decision to make}

Then, today I saw someone wearing one of which I had been eyeing recently. 

Pretty sure you're familiar with what happened next. 

Yup, I bought them and I couldn't be more ecstatic to start wearing them with the perfect pairing-

 cutoff shorts! Come fall, I'll throw on a pair of tights and a tunic with my booties!

4th of July Shorts

 I stopped by a small 'mom and pop shop' yesterday in Tempe that carries custom made vintage Levi's! I walked in and was overwhelmed by high waisted denim shorts, silver and turquoise jewelry, leather vests and western boots! I was practically in heaven. 

I talked with the owner for awhile and he explained the process of making his unique denim. I consider myself creative but I knew I could never make a pair of shorts the way he does. Therefore, I ordered a pair of custom made '4th of July' shorts with antique white paint splattered across! I'm so excited to pick them up this week! For those who are interested in a cheaper route and creating their own custom pair of shorts then try using this {diy} for a guideline!

Printed & Embellished Denim Shorts

While I was in LA and at Coachella, the #1 trend I noticed the most were high waisted shorts! Evvverryonne had them on! However, some girls went all out and decorated their shorts with either prints or studded embellishments! I've been on the lookout for a pair since. No luck yet so I may have to get my creative thumb out and work some magic!

HAPPY COACHELLA

This weekend I flew out to LA and made the trek with a friend to Indio, CA where we camped out for 3 days and danced to the beats at the most amazing music festival, COACHELLA!

It was such an inspirational weekend that I'll never forget!

High Waisted Cut Off Denim Shorts

Yesterday I finally found the perfect pair of high waisted cut off shorts! I have been searching everywhere lately for a pair that aren't too low or too short. Mine are made by Levi's and I purchased them at Urban Outfitters. They each fit differently because they're 'vintage', so I had to try on several before I found the right fit. I also ordered a pair from Free People last week that I did not try on. Therefore, I'm eager to see how those fit as well!
