Cutoffs & Booties

A Summer Staple to own is a pair of booties! I've been on the lookout for a pair and was trying to decide between several styles that each had very similar features and price points. 

{Talk about a hard decision to make}

Then, today I saw someone wearing one of which I had been eyeing recently. 

Pretty sure you're familiar with what happened next. 

Yup, I bought them and I couldn't be more ecstatic to start wearing them with the perfect pairing-

 cutoff shorts! Come fall, I'll throw on a pair of tights and a tunic with my booties!

Summer Plaid

Lately, I've been mixing a few pieces from my fall wardrobe into my summer wardrobe when the weather permits. Luckily it's been storming in Arizona and the nights cool off. Therefore I've taken advantage of pulling out my plaid button ups and worn them with my cut off shorts and white cuffed skinnies. It's an effortless look that's comfy and cool.

Fall Nail Polish

Fall weather makes me want to bring out the boots and the scarves as well as the dark and sparkly nail polish! I'm constantly changing my polish every several days, so now that my wardrobe is changing, so are my nails! Below are several of my favorite colors to wear for fall!

Chunky Knit Scarves

Around this time of year, I practically live in tunics, leggings and most importantly, chunky scarves! They're the best accessory and most practical to wear during cold weather! My latest obsession are infinity scarves because they're a quick and easy wrap around my neck and I don't have to fuss with it! 

Leather Bomber Jackets

Right now I'm in search of a leather bomber jacket for fall! Since it's such a classic jacket that can be worn with multiple outfits, I'm trying to find one that I know will carry it's versatility throughout the seasons. Below is a great one that has the essence of a 'motorcycle jacket' with the lapels and zippers but the shoulders show it's a classic. If only I could find one similar to this! The search continues...

It's Fall in AZ!

FINALLY! Yes, finally! The weather has started to change in Arizona and it's beginning to feel like fall! Even though our low is 62, I brought out all the goodies! Scarves, Boots, Sweaters! Yeah, I may have been a tad bit too warm in the afternoons but I was SO excited to feel the cool air after a long awaited summer of awful heat! 

Trend Report: Denim Button Up

So obsessed with chambray button ups right now, it's not even funny. You may ask why I am loving this once awful 90's inspired trend. I'll tell you why, it's because they're so versatile! You can slip them under a fitted blazer, belted around a loose dress or even wear then tucked into black skinnies. Not only that but I guarantee you could find one for a penny at your local vintage shop if you're willing to dig! In the meantime, I found one at Nordstrom that I can't wait to try out once the weather begins to cool down! 

Trend Report: Polka Dots

Another favorite fall trend of mine is polka dots! I love how playful a pop of polka dots can be! Add a blazer and heels and you're ready for a night out or tucked into tailored trousers and you're on your way to your 9-5! 

The Button Up

The button up is a classic blouse inspired by mens wear that can be worn multiple ways and is this fall's top trend. I have numerous sheer and silky button ups that I wear tucked into dark denim or worn flowy with black leggings and flats. Depending upon which pieces from your wardrobe you choose to pair with a button up, these can be worn for day or night occasions.  

Fall Tights

They're different than your regular black or nude tight and definitely more noticeable. However, paired with the right color combo, colored and textured tights are bold and will make your outfit stand out above the rest and be practical for fall. Take these color combos for example...
