Video: Hairstylist On Fire- The Hippie Halo

blow dry, waves, toss, and spray.  blow dry, waves, toss, and spray.
I seem to do the same to my hair every day but don't we all. Therefore, when I saw someone at work wearing this exact same do', I wanted to know how she did it! So, she taught me in 2 minutes.
 Suddenly, I was a pro.
Turns out, she got her hippie and breezy do' from an amazing blog that I've been inspired by since, called Hairstylist On Fire. If you haven't checked her out yet, trust me you'll want to now.

Cast Iron Skillet Brownies

I'm a sucker for sweets. Especially when they look as delicious as this recipe for Cast Iron Skillet Brownies. This will definitely crave any sweet tooth. YUM!

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
3 large eggs
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup Dutch-process cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 tablespoons (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1/4 cup heavy cream
8 ounces chocolate chips

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar and eggs. In another bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, and salt.

2. In a medium cast iron skillet, bring butter and cream to a simmer over medium heat. Add chocolate; reduce to medium-low. Cook, stirring constantly, until chocolate has melted, about 1 minute. Remove from heat, and let cool 5 minutes.

3. Add chocolate mixture to sugar mixture, whisking until blended. Fold in flour mixture. Pour batter into skillet.

4. Bake until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean, about 40 minutes.

London Olympics 2012

Since the London Olympics started, my TV has constantly been set to NBC as my eyes are glued to the screen in anticipation to see who will win each event. Several unforgettable moments of the Olympics that were exciting to watch include, Men's swimming winning gold in the 4X100 meter medley relay, Women's gymnastics team winning gold in the team finals, Missy Franklin winning the Women's 100 and 200 Meter Backstroke, Sanya Richards-Ross winning the Women's 400 meters, and Usain Bolt winning the Men's 200 meters. With less than a week of the Olympics remaining, I am excited to watch Team USA and the other remarkable athletes compete for the ultimate prize, a gold medal!

Music Video: Azealia Banks- 212 Ft. Lazy Jay

Azealia Banks has such a super funky vibe that it's difficult to look away. I love the edge and funk of this song. When it comes on, it's hard not to dance around to the beats!

Cutoffs & Booties

A Summer Staple to own is a pair of booties! I've been on the lookout for a pair and was trying to decide between several styles that each had very similar features and price points.
{Talk about a hard decision to make}
Then, today I saw someone wearing one of which I had been eyeing recently.
Pretty sure you're familiar with what happened next.
Yup, I bought them and I couldn't be more ecstatic to start wearing them with the perfect pairing-
cutoff shorts! Come fall, I'll throw on a pair of tights and a tunic with my booties!

Summer Plaid

Lately, I've been mixing a few pieces from my fall wardrobe into my summer wardrobe when the weather permits. Luckily it's been storming in Arizona and the nights cool off. Therefore I've taken advantage of pulling out my plaid button ups and worn them with my cut off shorts and white cuffed skinnies. It's an effortless look that's comfy and cool.
