Trend Report: Fringe Handbags

An easy bag to throw on with a casually chic outfit is a fringe handbag. Any type of fringe handbag creates a boho look but I love the longer strap that are attached to some for a crossbody convenience. However, a fringe clutch like the one in the last photo is gorgeous as well!

NYC Rooftop Gardens

Something that you don't see very often in Arizona are rooftop gardens like those in New York City. They're so rare and such a treat to see. Not to mention their spectacular views overlooking the city's hustle and bustle below.

Go Confidently...

Soundwave 2011

Something I would have never expected myself to go to was an electronic music festival. However, one of my best friends is obsessed with electronic music and begged me and another friend to go with him to Soundwave in AZ. One of my favorite DJ's, Kaskade was playing so we decided to go! Surprisingly, we had a lot of fun together and it was a memorable night!

Wildfox Tees

One thing that I lack the most of in my closet are tees for lounging around and running errands. So when I stumbled across Wildfox this summer at Bloomingdales in Santa Monica, I fell in love with their soft tees! They're great to wear for daytime but also can be worn for night with a pair of leather shorts or fitted skinnies!

Faux Fur Vests

One of Rachel's Zoe's infamous trends, the fur vest is perfect for this season! I could never wear a fur vest that was real. Therefore, it's so nice to be able to find numerous faux fur vests at different retailers for cheaper prices! They're great to throw over a boho dress or a fitted long sleeve.

DIY Facial

Today I went and got a facial for the first time and as expected, it was amazing! Even though my facial was extremely enjoyable and a rare treat for myself, I know that it comes with a pricey penny. Therefore, for those who love facials as much as I do but want a cheaper option, here is a recipe for a DIY Facial!
What You'll Need
Gentle Facial Cleanser , Exfoliating Scrub, Washcloth, Face Mask (Clay-based for oily skin, cream or gel mask for dry skin), Face Moisturizer

Instructions
Clean. Remove all makeup and then wash your face, neck and ears with a good facial cleanser.
Exfoliate. Using your fingers gently rub an exfoliating facial scrub in small circular motions all over your face. Make sure you focus on areas around your nose and forehead. If certain areas of your face are oilier than others, give that section an extra scrub.
Steam. There are a few ways to steam your face (over the stove, using a steamer), but the safest way is to do the washcloth trick. Fill your sink with warm water and soak a washcloth in it. Ring out the towel and then press it to your face. Repeat this 2 to 3 times.
Mask. If you have oily skin, use a clay mask. For dry skin, I suggest using a hydrating cream or gel mask. Depending on the mask, leave it on for the suggested amount of time and then rinse completely. (DIY Alert: Making your own mask is very easy. An orange and yogurt mask is especially simple. Mix 1 tablespoon of plain Greek yogurt with the juice of about one fourth of an orange. Spread the mixture evenly over your face and rinse after 5 to 10 minutes.)
Hydrate. Last by not least, moisturize! Smooth a nice, thick moisturizer over your face and neck.

Tory Burch Flats

My prefect flat to wear is the Tory Burch 'Reva' flat. It comes in numerous colors with the signature Tory Burch emblem. It's my ideal shoe to turn to because I'm not one to wear a heel or wedge to work or on a daily basis. Therefore, these save me by providing a comfy and polished look.

Inspired By: Jimmy Choo Nude Clutch

The other day I visited Last Chance, a consignment store owned by Nordstrom. As I was digging through a pile of some of the most amazing designer handbags, I stumbled upon a nude patent leather Jimmy Choo clutch. The price was still too high for me so I unfortunately had to pass but I later found it on Nordstrom. Since I can't stop thinking about it (obviously), I figured I would feature it with other items I would pair it with if I would have purchased it. These include a Vince sequin top, Lanvin wool skirt and Alexander McQueen nude pumps.

Griffith Observatory

A couple of months ago when I visited LA, I took my first trip up to the Griffith Observatory. I had always seen the white columned building in movies and TV shows and had always wondered what it was. Therefore, my cousin took me up the long and winding road through Griffith park to reach the observatory. I have to say that the views of the city and the Hollywood sign made this attraction one of my favorites! Every time I'm in LA, I guarantee I'll be visiting the Griffith Observatory to enjoy the breathtaking views!

It's Fall in AZ!

FINALLY! Yes, finally! The weather has started to change in Arizona and it's beginning to feel like fall! Even though our low is 62, I brought out all the goodies! Scarves, Boots, Sweaters! Yeah, I may have been a tad bit too warm in the afternoons but I was SO excited to feel the cool air after a long awaited summer of awful heat!

The Beginning...

Sorry readers for my absence lately! I've had a wonderful week off of work and took that time to simply relax and think A LOT. It felt great to take that break but beginning tomorrow, I have to get back into the grind of things. One thing I can say that I took away from this week is...
